Reviving history and taking Split back to time when Diocletian walked the city, the Days of Diocletian will be held throughout the summer, May 17- September 27.
As a part of the Days of Diocletian, we are expecting the daily change of guards-a project under the leadership of the Croatian National Theater Split, which proved to be one of the main attractions that provides a unique experience for tourists. Every day, at exactly 12 o’clock (noon), all gathered at Peristil Imperial Square will be greeted by the Emperor and the Empress, along with the Roman Praetorian. This year, Days of Diocletian will feature a unique project “The Roman Empire”, where every Friday we can expect themed evenings, march, legion formation and gladiator fights. Diocletian’s legion will revive the ancient past at the Live Museum project at Bedem Cornaro and give us a glimpse of the everyday life of the ancient Romans.
